Melih Yurdagül founded TRIA International Research and Consultancy in 2000, bringing over 15 years of dynamic Market Research both domestically and internationally.

  • Solid, research experience on both client and agency side.
  • Very much an ‘on-hands’ market research company owner in Turkey, one of few who has several years of experience with actual fieldwork and staff training.
  • Personal experience with developing and managing research projects “on-the-job” and distant administration in other countries. Personally coordinated projects and trained agencies/staff in Romania, Bulgaria, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Iran both for his own company TRIA and in his past engagement.
  • Aware of international research trends, outstanding in international networking, frequent attendant of ESOMAR conferences (9 annual and 3 other conferences).

Melih, as a working principle, has been allocating much of his time to demonstrating his skills in marketing and opinion research. He is the key project leader in acquiring and managing challenging projects, which need extensive experience in designing methodology, sampling, understanding the subtlety of analysis and giving research-based consultancy.

Prior to establishing TRIA International, Melih was the General Manager and Board Member of IBS Marketing Research Services. Previously, he had worked as the managing partner of GfK Turkey and deputy general manager of IRI Turkey.

Melih’s relationship with Procter & Gamble began when he established a local Retail Audit Unit in Turkey and developed alliances with outside agencies to meet the research needs of P&G in the Turkish market. Melih helped P&G develop a keen understanding of consumer and the competitive environments in Turkey while participating in corporate and technical training programs offered by P&G. He has made important strategic observations in the European Markets and has worked for P&G Geneva on a temporary assignment.
